Since it’s hump day, we decided to sweeten up our night with an amazing and unique treat!
What exactly is this treat you ask? Mercer’s Wine Ice Cream, of course! Yes, you heard us- WINE ice cream. For all you wine lovers out there (ourselves included), this is a dream come true. Waiting for the clock to strike 6 p.m. today was torture knowing we had to wait to come home to this ice cream, but it was well worth the wait.
Mercer’s offers multiple flavors you can choose from including red, white and sparkling wine. We tried four of their flavors: chocolate cabernet, strawberry sparkling, peach white zifandel and red raspberry chardonnay. It was only natural to eat this ice cream in a wine glass- we might start eating all our ice cream in wine glasses. (We’re classy like that.)

I’m sure you’re all wondering which flavor was our favorite. The winner was definitely the chocolate cabernet. It was the perfect pairing of rich chocolate and cabernet wine. It even comes with chocolate chips! We almost ate the whole pint in one sitting…almost. The ice cream does contain 5% alcohol so you may start to feel be a bit tipsy (we did!) Nothing better than getting drunk on ice cream, am I right?
Our second favorite was the peach white zifandel. This flavor might be too sweet for some people but we like our wine and ice cream SUPER sweet. The peach white zifandel had chucks of peaches in it so you don’t have to feel guilty eating it. Anything with fruit is healthy right? 😉

Where do you live? In the U.S.? Not sure they ship outside of the U.S…but you should try some if they do!!

The peach white zinfandel ice cream sounds heavenly especially paired with cheese and crackers. I have not heard of this brand are they new?
